As the saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover. It is unwise to judge a person by his appearance. Here are three main reasons. First, people can't change their looking because it's born with them. Some people are actually kind but they just get a very scary face, wich is decided by their genes. In the literature world, beauty often appears along with kindness. However, in real life, at least so far, there is no any data showing that characters have anything to do with lookings. What's more, makeup and dressing can in some way change the way people look. That is to say, appearance is a changeable thing, and it is not necessarily consistent with people's mind. Besides, human is a complicated being and we often have both the dark side and the light side. Although to some extent, our behaviors may imply which society class we belong to, we know how to disguise ourselves, for example, the spies in the history lived as totally different people of various characters. In a word, people's characters and his experiences are not directly related to their looks so judging a person merely by his appearance can easily cause trouble.
