Nervously and stiffly, I stepped into the classroom. This is my first time to be a temporary teacher in a kindergarten. "Let's welcome our new teacher, David Liu.", Mr. Wu calmed the noisy, "Today, you will have a special class with David". After a brief introduction I began. The class was about Mid-Autumn Festival—a very traditional festival which related many myths and legend. When I was introducing those tales, they listened so carefully and became infatuated with the plots. In contrast, these tales may bore the children in the city as they have heard this kind of stories a thousand time. However, for the children in the rural area like here, whose parents usually works far away from their homes, barely know these tales. This battered but lively kindergarten become their second home where they can gain something new. From their smiling faces, I saw optimism.
