Nervously and stiffly, I stepped into the classroom. This is my first time to be a temporary teacher in a kindergarten. "Let's welcome our new teacher, David Liu.", Mr. Wu calmed the noisy, "Today, you will have a special class with David". After a brief introduction I began. The class was about Mid-Autumn Festival—a very traditional festival which related many myths and legend. When I was introducing those tales, they listened so attentively and infatuated with the plots. In contrast, these tales may bore the children in the city as they have heard this kind of stories a thousand time. However, for the children in the rural area like here, whose parents usually works far away from their homes, barely know these tales. This battered but lively kindergarten become their second home where they can gain something new. During our class, every time when he or she asked me why, I can clearly saw the curiosity blinking in their eyes. When it was their turn to share their stories, to my surprise, they speak without hesitation, and words jumped out their mouths like spring. Although these children lived simple live, a grove near the kindergarten is the only entertainment they have, they still tired to describe their daily trivia as adventures. Such as a new type of flower they had discovered, a interesting insect they had caught, and so on. From their smiling faces I saw their optimism and passion towards life; from their experience of exploring the grove I found their bravery and boldness; from their self-made tales I discovered their wide imagination. These precious quality are exactly what I need to improve. During this class I felt I was more like a student instead of a teacher. On the way home, their voice was circled in my head. Until this day I realized how many beauties and meaningful things I had ignored and missed just because I unwilling to lower my head. Fortunately, these naive children reminded me to retain a childish heart and bravely explore the unknown. At last, I want to quote a sentence from Steve Jobs as the end, "stay hungry, stay foolish".
