First,I think it is a good trait for students to save money.A person who is indenpendent must konw how to manage his or her money rationally.In the school,most students are not financially indenpendent,so they need to learn how to save money in perparation of their future life.But a good manager of money doesn't mean you collect and use all kinds of coupons.Although coupon can save a good deal of money sometimes,but you will be restried if you are too dependent on them!That is to say, you will become an unwiser consumer. Take my roommates as an example.I will call them A and B.A is from urban city while B comes from a poor countryside.A is very proud of her all kinds of coupons and purchases makeups and clothes totally depend on the time written on the coupons.Because she have so many coupons ,therefore,she has so many things to buy.Every month she will declare that she is going to save a great deals of money because a shop has given her a big coupon.In my opinion,she is not having a good command of her money.It is obviously she has purchased some unnecessary goods and fails to develop a healthy and quality life as she is able to.B is totally different.Her family is poor.But she is a smart consumer in my mind.She never collects coupons deliberately.She buys what she need and konw how to save money to eat healthy food.She can control her want for clothes and makeups as she isn't afford to buy many of those. In conclusion,what I want to convey is that students must understand how to save money and what will they do with the money saved by.A smart consumer is well-controlled and konws which coupon should be thrown away.
