Honest, intelligence and a sense of humor all meant a great deal to success in life. However, they are dwarfed by willpower, the most critical characteristic that a person can have to be successful in life. As the saying goes, indomitable willpower can conquer the world on any one peak. When we were little kids, we did never think of that there would be so many accidents and frustrations during the whole life. We will stand up again from them, is inseparable from our desire and willpower. Generally speaking, it is the spirit of willpower that really enhances one’s all-round capabilities, which is also indispensable and valuable to further career development. When coming across complicated problems, a person with a strong will would remain unruffled and take them calmly, because he or she firmly believes that all the difficulties and setbacks can be defeated finally. Therefore, they never give up and learn from their mistakes, while some people tend to throw in the towel due to the lack of willpower, even they are clever and intelligent. That fear of results which have been exaggerated in advance makes it difficult to show their real abilities. What’s more, they easily become disappointed, passive and hesitated, causing the results worse and worse. To sum up, willpower remains fundamental to our careers, which gives us the power to try again and again and achieve our goals eventually. It is easily combined with other traits such as diligence and intelligence to increase the chances of success. However, without willpower, one’s success may be more independent on luck than anything else.
