On a small boat sit two tourists ，without hesitation and humiliation, dropping litter into the lake that had already filled with all kind of rubbish while they were taking sightseeing happily and merrily. Simple as the picture is, the symbolic meaning behind it is as deep as ocean. It is intended to sound the alarm over a prevalent phenomenon that people is making environmental footprint to the nature that had been heavily polluted. What bring about this grim situation? One the one hand , the public fails to stress the fundamental role of environmental preservation in the sound growth of a modern society .On the other hand, the government have not placed a high values on keeping ecological balance, but taking i t for granted that we are the owner of the earth. Actually, on no account can we break the balance between human and environment! To serve as responsible stewards of the planet, we must raise public awareness about environmental protection. But education alone is inadequate, corresponding laws and regulations should be introduced and enforced to curb and harness this urgent problem. We should remember that our future depends upon what we do right now.
