With the fast development of the human race, the problems of our environment are getting severer and severer. In some developed countries, people realize the importance to protect the environment and the earth. However, in most developing countries, the priority is to accelerate economic development and improve living standards, in which people concentrate on industrializing but paying little attention to the environment. What we had done to our earth is true, so some people think the situation is already terrible and we aren't supposed to do something. I think this idea is too pessimistic. In past centuries, human race dedicated to improve the basic living conditions. We are now gradually doing more to protect our fragile environment. We make plans to grow more trees in order to reduce the deserts. Many rare animals have died these years, but some species are back to life now. We try to minimize the harm to the atmosphere. It's never too late to save our world. In my opinion, protecting our environment doesn't mean that you must recover the ecological system at once, but something simply which we can do every day. For example, save the water, turn off the light in time, use public transports and so on. It's a gradual process. It is known to us all that 'Rome is not built in a day'.
