In comtemporary society, a variety of environmental problems occur to us with the economic developing rapidly. A mushrooming number of people, as well as the governments has taken actions to solve the disturbing problems in order to the sustainable development of human society. Governments can take options among funding research on new energy resources, protecting forests and natural wild animals and reducing polluction by passing and enforcing laws. Towards to the serious situations, i am inclined to exploit new resources by governments' finanicial support. Initially, most of new resources such as solar energy, wind power and tidal power are free of contamination, which will do less harm for environment. In contrast, some fossal fuels we use today, including coal, oil and natural gas, are producing enormous chemical wastes, that will be harmful for the whole environment. For example, if we choose electronic cars instead of commion cars, we will reduce several times ozone pollution and up to 30 times less CO2 emissions.Thus, using these new resources will benefit the environment dramatically. Secondly, as the scientific and technology advance, numerous environment-friendly productions appear in our lives, that practical things will enhance our behaviors of protecting environment unconsciously. Solar water heater, for instance, changes the shower style of most people. A large amount of coals will be saved and thus can improve the quality of atmosphere. Thus, funding on new resources is undoubtfully a great idea to make people devote to environmental protection. Compared with exploiting new resources by governments' finacial support, protecting the forests and wild species and enforcing laws result in some defects. To begin with, since the forests and natural wild spieces are large, how to protect and where to protect can vary from countries to countries. If the governments are not able to unify the measures, every country protect the forests and wild animals in different degree, the ecosystem balance will be destroied seriously. What's more, forcing civilizens to be environmental friendly by laws may cause disconnected emotions. Some people change their lifestyles to protect the environment only due to the laws, they will recover the bad behaviors easily once the standardized systems and laws slack. In conclusion, funding research on new resources is more preferable than the others, because funding proper alternative energy is the key to solve environmental problems comprehensively. - - - - - - - -
