One major problem in the process of urbanization With the rapid development of economy , many rural areas have accelerated the pace of urbanization. More and more factories are built up in rural areas, which push forward the urbanization of the rural areas, while also brings various problems. As far as I`m concerned, one of the major problems in the process of urbanization should be environmental pollution, including air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, land clearing and so forth. The issue of balance and coordination between economic development and local environmental protection has been a hot issue with the advance of our times.When we look back to the development of human beings` history, we`ll find that the issue of environmental pollution happened in many cases of industrial revolution and urbanization all over the world. Firstly, I`d like to talk about air pollution. In early 18th century , England suffered from haze seriously because of industrial pollution in the process of industrial revolution. Two centuries later, China is haunted by haze as well. In the capital of China, Beijing, which is the center of culture, politics and one major center of economy of China, haze has become a common phenomenon in people`s daily life. Apart from Beijing, other cities, like Hebei province also suffers from haze seriously, which will pose a threat to the health of our lungs. Secondly, in terms of water and soil pollution, which are closely linked to each other. The wasted water from factories will pollute the water that we drink ,and at the same time , pollute the soil that we plant our crops, which will be the food we eat.So, such pollution will eventually have an influence on the health of our human beings. Besides , to meet the demands of urbanization, more buildings are needed. So, more trees will be cut down, which will cause the loss of more green land , thus more carbon dioxide being accumulated upper our heads and leading to global warming. From above specific analysis on various pollution in the process of urbanization, we can easily draw a conclusion that one of the major problems in the process of urbanization should be environmental issue, which is demonstrated in air pollution, water and soil pollution, land clearing and so on. Thus , to balance edevelopment and environment in the process of urbanization is essential and urgent.
