College years have prepared you for your future life In China, there`s a traditional thinking pattern that an admission to a top-tier university is the key to the path of a bright future. To some extent , I do agree that a relatively better university can make you be more well prepared for your future life, but it`s not so absolute. In my view, what gets us prepared for your future life is not the fame of your university or college but what you`ve done in your college or university life. It`s well known to us that students in the United States must study very hard to receive a bachelor degree in their university life and after they graduate from university, they can find a job they like easily. While some of Chinese students, who has been repressed by the Gao Kao system for a long time , will no longer devote themselves to learning when they become college students. Instead, they take it for granted that they should live a leisure life to compensate the hard efforts thy`ve made in the examination of university entrance---Gao Kao. So, when they are going to graduate from university, they think they have learn nothing in university , thus forming the view that learning is useless among some people. But actually, it`s not because learning is useless but because they`ve learnt nothing but idled their lives. If they do have learnt something instead of wasting time and idling life, things may be different. Therefore, If we can take an advantage of their time and the platform of their university, they can gain much specialized knowledge, attend many lectures hold by well-known personalities and participate various social activities, thus broadening our horizons, enriching knowledge and enhancing our comprehensive abilities. Only by making full use of our college time and taking the advantage of the platform provided by our university, can we be somewhat confident to say that college years have prepared us for our future life.
