The line graph illustrates the change of the amount about visitors who visit abroad from the UK and who visits to the UK, and the bar chart gives breakdown about most popular countries visited by UK residents. As can be seen, both the two kinds of visitors became more and more. Nearly 14 million visitors chose other countries to visit in 1979, while fewer oversea residents visited to the UK(10 million) in the same year. After a light increase during 1979 and 1984, the amount of visitors who visited abroad soared to more than 50 million in 1999. At the same time, the other group's development trends were steadier than the former, with less than 30 million. In the bar chart, France could be regarded as the most popular country, comprising roughly 11 million visitors who are English. By contrast , Turkey was the country which was visited by least UK residents(only 2 million). The USA, Greece and Spain had more UK visitors than Turkey, with 4 million, 3 million and 9 million respectively. Overall, there are more UK visitors would like to visit abroad and more oversea residents travel to the UK, and France was the English's favourite travel place.
