No Pains, No Gains There`s an old Chinese saying that no pains, no gains, which is consistent with the idea that harvest derives from the efforts of sowing the seeds and nurturing the growth. As a university student, to be successful in our academic learning, we also need to follow the steps that a farmer follows. Only when we are willing to devote time and energy to the subjects we learn and put the theories we learn into practice, can we be really successful in academic study. When it comes to devotion of time and energy to academic learning, several factors shall be taken into consideration. First and foremost, it`s time management and layout of learning plan just as a framer that he or she will sow the seeds by following the alternative of seasons. We, as college students , have much spare and free time in our hands. Before we dedicate ourselves to learn something, we ought to have a plan of what we are going to on one day, within a week , a month and even a year. To have time schedule of learning will not only make us clear about our footprints of study, but also enhance our liability of self-management and self-control, which will also have a lifelong benefit to our later work life. Apart from our devotion to what we learn, we should also have awareness of being sociable, which means that we also need to combine what we have learn with what our society needs, and put our knowledge into practice by participating some social activities or having an intern. It`s my belief that doing is learning. So, in exception of purely study by seating in classroom, we can also go out of classroom and do into various campus and social activities, which will diversify our university life, enrich our experience, and improve our comprehensive quality. Therefore, I think that to be a successful students, we need to make efforts to the subjects we learn, which is accompanied by making a learn schedule just like the farmer`s sowing by following the alternative seasons. In addition, participation of campus and social activities are also indispensable parts for a successful students, which will nurture our university life and enrich our experience, just like the farmer`s efforts to nurturing growth. Only by following these steps can it be possible to be a successful student.
