Nowadays, some parents give their children money as award in order to spur their study. As a matter of fact, many students prefer to get money from their parents than just receive some oral praise. However, I believe this way is misguiding method. First of all, giving money for high grade may let them invert the importance of process and result of learning. Human is born with the curiosity of exploring the unknown. It's is knowledge that enrich our life and help us to establish the modern society. Therefore, we learn knowledge to understand the world and better ourselves. However, the test is only a method to measure whether we comprehend the classes and the assignments, and the process of learning is much more important since our goal is to gain knowledge. If parents award their children with money for their grade, children may form a idea that the grade they get is more weighty. As a result, they will focus more on the result than the process which means they are wasting their time on pursuing the high mark without truly learning something that helpful to them.
