Close observation opens up new worlds in many ways. It can tell us things we would otherwise never know. Most often, we see more when we look and listen. Fortunately, movies give us that option, but is requires diligence. Compare and contrast learning by doing to learning by reading.

As a saying goes, "practice makes perfect". More and more people focus on the practical action rather than learing by reading. But as far as I am concerned, the ideas we learn from books can serve as a guideline, follow which we can adapted to social life much more easily. My main reason is that, we cannot achieve success in the real life without the lead of principles any more that a dancer can make a difference without training. As the accumulation of the the predecesor's experiences, reading is an available way for us to get to know more about the world. Another reason is that, reading offers us a broader view of the society, with which we are seneitive in our dealings with other people, thus we can become a person been liked everywhere. All in all, reading plays an improtant role in our daily life, the maintainace of social relations and the thinking ability of a person, that is to say, we can never ignore the importance of reading.
