Education is a lifelong career and everyone, no matter he or she is old or young, rich or poor, white person or colored person, enjoys an equal opportunity for education. Just as the great thought in China, Confucius, once said there`s no classification in terms of education. So, I support the idea that one should not give up on getting a degree just because she is a little old. In the next paragraph, I`ll have a detailed explanation for my view. First and foremost, keeping on study is essential to charge ourselves in the lifelong journey. It`s crucial for us to keep up with pace of times. What we have learn at present do conforms to the needs of our present society. While, with advancement of time, we need to anew our knowledge by keeping study. For example, in the past, we can find a job accountant if we have a knowledge of abacus. But today abacus has disappeared from almost all big companies, it has been replaced by modern computer. If we refuse to learn computer, we will not get the same job with the obsolete knowledge. So, we have to keep learning even if we are a little older. Or, we are likely to be weeded out by our times. Not advance is to go back. If we give up getting a degree just because we are a little older, we will never keep up with times, never satisfy the needs of society and never realize our life values. With the rapid development of technology and the arrival of information era, the life circle of knowledge is changed apace. So, it`s the demand of times that requires us not giving up getting a degree just because we are a little older. Taking above analysis in to consideration, we can draw a conclusion that study is a lifelong process. With advance of time, we can not give up getting a degree just because we are a little older. On the contrary, we should make more efforts to acquire day-updating knowledge and equip us with fresh knowledge and recharge ourselves when the old knowledge becomes obsolete.
