The Maritime Silk Road is an extension of the land Silk Road. It is a major artery of the ancient navigation. The Minnan dialect is the main language in Quanzhou. It still retains the pronunciation and vocabulary popular in Tang and Song Dynasty. Language scholars at home and abroad see the Minnan dialect as the living fossil of ancient Chinese culture. The Minnan dialect has a long history, and it is still in use in many areas. But with the promotion of Mandarin, most of the teenagers speak Mandarin in their daily life. The Minnan dialect is the older people's language. So far we can communicate with our parents and grandparents in the dialect fluently. However, who can guarantee whether the next generation can speak the languale fluently or not? I suggest that we should speak in the Minnan dialect more often and teach foreign students the dialect. Let’s spread the language culture of Quanzhou across the world. Moreover, as for Quanzhou, we have to mention the food here——scallop soup, sweet and fresh Lumian which is a kind of noodles, and Shenhu water pills, agreeably sweet dumplings etc. Among them, the snacks made from the flower is my favorite. Flower cream is most suitable for me, because it can cool you down in summer. When you walk in this city, you will find the culture heritage still shines, elegantly and delicately. I love Quanzhou, the "city of culture in Southeast Asia" and the starting point of the "maritime Silk Road". And I am proud to tell the whole world “Quanzhou is my hometown!"
