College students, Responsibilities and challenges As soon as we become a university student, we are bound to face a great quantities of responsibilities and challenges. As for responsibilities, we must firstly be responsible for our relatives. Over the past days, we had been taking refuge in our parents' wings like small birds. Since we are now college students, it is our turn to do something for the benefit of our families. For example, we are away from our homes, therefore we should call our parents regularly rather than spend all our time on new friends. In addition, we ought to work hard for our own sake. Growing up, we have no causes for relying on our parents. Confronted with problems, we must bear the overall interest in our minds and choose the best means on our own. There are also a great number of challenges. In fact, since we enter colleges, challenges will crop up one after another. The first step for us to adjust into university life can be a major challenge, and that is being independent. Seldom will a student stay in his hometown to pursue his university education, that is to say, the majority of students have to get used to living far from their families, and to becoming independent. Being independent means that we can no longer have meals prepared for us, nor the immediate comfort of our relatives. As University students, we must be independent both physically and psychologically. What's more, upon on graduation, another big challenge will present itself-job-seek. The job market has been seeing daily intensified competitions. As a result of that, we would better get prepared as early as possible. For example, attach more importance to the job market. All in all, it is inevitable for a university student to face a wide variety of responsibilities and challenges. On the one hand, those things are heavy burdens; On the other hand, they are driving forces that can inspire us to move forward. So we should never shirk our responsibilities, and we must deal with the challenges boldly.
