A Good Colleague Actually there`s no absolute definition for a good colleague since different persons have different characteristics or nature. When it comes to a good colleague, I deem a good colleague should be tolerant and try his or her best to integrate with others. From junior middle school to senior high school and then to university, I have been with many colleagues whose characteristics, hobbies and even ethnicity are different from mine.To live with those colleagues is not an easy thing. Tolerance and integration are indispensable. For example, one of my colleagues is minority ethnicity, and she does not eat pork. When we want to hold a party, we will choose a Muslim club in order not to violate her creed. She has many other custom from mine as well, but I can understand and say that`s good.There`s many conflicts being caused by difference, which can be avoided by following the principle of seeking common ground and reserve difference. To follow this principle well, we need to be tolerant. Similarly, No one in the world is totally perfect. Everyone has his or her shortcomings, for which we should be tolerant as well. Of course, some shortcomings can be overcome if we put forward them in a decent and friendly manner. In a word, everyone is unique in the world. Everyone has characteristics ,which is different from others. Everyone has his or her shortcomings. We may come from different places, having different hobbies and habits. Therefore,to live well together , we require being tolerant and try our best to integrate with others by following the principle of seeking common ground and reserve difference.Only by this way can we become good colleagues.
