Some people argue that living in a rural area is the best choice for the serenity, fresh air, and health food, which are available in countryside. However, there are also people claim that citylife is more convenient because its faster transportation system, more public facilities and entertainment ways. As far as I am concerned, it would be problematic to claim that living in countryside is not a good choice but it is not te same as saying citylife has no advantages. In my opinion, it would be better for the young to choose to live in big cities, while those old people who are pursuing a peaceful life should live in rural areas. The young people should live in cities. To begin with, there are more job opporunities in cities. The young people is in the prime of their life, which means they are bound to live in a more challengable way. And citylife can offer them the environment full of risks and chances which is beneficial to their growth. What's more, the young would prefer the rich entertainment ways that citylife can bring them. It is well-known that young people tend to live a dynamic life that is not available in countryside. Nevertheless, the living environment in cities can meet their demands. Therefore, for those people who are young and full of energy, city is the place of choice. The old people should live in rural areas. First of all, the living pace of rural areas is slower, which brings people a peaceful life. For the old people who have experienced a wide range of joys and sorrows in their life, they might perfer the serene environment, the beautiful scenery, and the wholesome food that are not rarely to be seen in countryside. Futhermore, living in countryside is helpful to their health both physically and phychologically. As we know, the living environment is getting worse day by day. All kinds of problems, including, air pollution, traffic jams, noise, and industrial dust pose great danger to people's health, especially, the old people who are more vuneralbe to those harms. Since the living environment is healthier and more peaceful. the old people should choose to live there. All in all, there are both advantages and disadvantages in the living environment of city as well as of countryside. So we should treat this issue in a proper way rather than blindly deny their pros and cons. In addition, I strongly hold that the young should live in cities while the old in countryside.
