Some people argue that living in a rural area is the best choice for the serenity, fresh air, and healthy food, which is available in countryside. However, there are also people claiming that city life is more convenient because faster transportation system, more public facilities and entertainmental ways. As far as I am concerned, it would be problematic to claim that countryside life is not a good choice but it is not te same as saying citylife has no advantages. In my opinion, it would be better for adolescents to choose to live in big cities, while the elderly who are pursuing a peaceful life should live in rural areas. The young people should live in cities. To begin with, there are more job opportunities in cities. Youngsters are in the prime of their life, which means they are bound to live in a more challenging way. And city life can offer them the environment full of risks and chances which is beneficial to their growth. What's more, adolescents would prefer numerous entertainmental ways that city life can bring them. It is well-known that young people tend to live a dynamic life that is not available in countryside. Nevertheless, the living environment in cities can meet their needs. Therefore, for those people who are young and full of energy, city is the place of choice. The aged should live in rural areas. First of all, the living pace of rural areas is slower, which brings people a peaceful life. For old citizens who have experienced a wide range of joys and sorrows in their life, they might prefer the serene environment, the beautiful scenery, and the wholesome food that is not rarely to be seen in countryside. Furthermore, the living environment in countryside is helpful to their health both physically and psychologically. As we know, the living environment is getting worse day by day. All kinds of problems, including, air pollution, traffic jams, noise, and industrial dust pose great danger to people's health, especially, the old people who are more vunerable to those harms. Since the living environment is healthy and noiseless, the old people should choose to live there. All in all, there are both advantages and disadvantages of the living environment in city as well as in countryside. So we should treat this issue in a proper way rather than seek a one-size-fits-all solution. In addition, I strongly hold that the young should live in cities while the old in countryside.
