A research revealed that Chinese students are more likely to pay bills by cellphones. It was co-conducted by Chinese media colleges and Ant Financial which collected consuming date from 10 million students in over 4,000 universities. The research found that 92 percent of young people who were born in 1990s spend 5,900 USD in 2016, it jumps 97 percent than 2015. Chen Lin, a student in one of Beijing Universities said, she has been using mobile pay for a long time and only carry 100-200 RMB in cash nowadays. She said, “Almost all shopping in school campus and nearby areas can be paid by phone and campus card wherever you are in canteen or bookstore or supermarket.” Even the least noticeable stall is fine with mobile pay, she added. Another amazing finding is that girls would be inclined to pay by phone than boys, but boys spent more. Huhao is student in Shanghai and found that he spent 16,000 online which accounted 70 percent of expenditure in all year. He said, boys spent more because they didn’t shop round, from his perspective. “Besides, sometimes boys have to buy gifts or pay for girlfriends, this is another factor.” He added.
