Some people think that living in rural area have greater advantage than living in the city. In my view, the situation is not definitely so. It is true that the countryside have better environment than the urban area, especially in the developing countries. The air is unpolluted there, with very low value of PM 2.5. It can often be seen that the elder do exercise in the morning. The noise is not a problem at countryside. Only the sound of bird singing can be hear in the day. However, with the development of economy in these countries, the problems of pollution and noise are being gradually solved. In fact, in the developed countries, rural area have no much advantages over the urban area in these aspects. The rural area, in contrast, have many disadvantages over the urban area, especially in the less developed countries. The health care in the the countryside is not as good as that in the city. That`s why many people go to hospitals in big cities when they have serious diseases. Moreover, transportation is less facilitate in the countryside. People living in mountains may walk several hours to get to a market. Lastly, living in cities means more choices of entertainment, so people in cities may have more colorful life. Again, these differences are not so significant in the developed countries. To sum up, whether living in countryside is advantageous than living in the cities varies in different countries and areas. One should consider this question according to his own situation.
