1. Introduction Khaled Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1965. He is a writer and doctor. His father was a diplomat in the Afghan Foreign Ministry and his mother taught Farsi and history at a high school in Kabul. In September 1980, Hosseini and his father moved to San Jose, California. Hosseini graduated from high school in 1984 and enrolled at Santa Clara University, where he earned a achelor’s degree in biology in 1988. The following year he he earned a medical degree in 1993 in the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine.In March 2001, while practicing medicine, Hosseini began writing his first novel, The Kite Runner.It published by Riverhead Books in 2003, that debut went on to become an international bestseller and beloved classic, sold in at least seventy countries and spending more than a hundred weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. The Kite Runner is the first published novel by Khaled Hosseini, and before writing he has been a doctor in California . In 1999, Husseini learned from news reports that the Taliban in Afghanistan ordered the ban on people flying kites. He argued that the ban was extremely cruel, saying that he grew up in kites when he was a young man living in Afghanistan, and the news had a huge impact in his mind. After seeing the news, Hosseini wrote a story about two boys flying kites in Kabul,Afghan,which is called The Kite Runner. And from then on , "He determined to brush off the dust in the face of ordinary people in Afghanistan, behind the throbbing of the soul show to the world".[1](P.1) After the best sell of The Kite Runner, Hosseini continued to be a doctor for a year and a half, then changed to a full-time writer.
