My View of New Ways of Consumption Nowadays, such new ways of consumption as coupons, online group-buying are warmly welcomed by customer in order to save money. However, will new ways of shopping really make us smart customers? I don’t think so. Indeed, using coupons and group-buy are good choices of achieve our goals for gaining maximize benefit with least money. That’s to say, we get what we want without regret and enjoy the consumption. Nevertheless, the reality is opposite. They are only the marketing tricks to profit. They prompt people to purchase some goods with low quality out of impulse, even spend more money on many unnecessary commodities. Obviously, a great amount of money is wasted. In the face of cheap goods, irrational people care more about the feeling of satisfaction at the moment but value less about the long-term result, therefore they gain a terrible consumption experience. Above of all, although the new ways of consumption can to some extent help us to save money, the gratification of saving money will greatly stimulate us to waste more money at the same time. We are supposed to spend money rationally, we will benefit from rational consumption and become smart customer in this way.
