In China, as a saying goes "One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a true man." In light of this, I will recommend Beijing as the first destination of my foreign friend's trip to China. Through the history, the Great Wall dates from the third century B.C, and it was built to resist enemy attack, as a military resource. The Great Wall of China is the longest wall in the world. It is about 6,000 kilometres long, 7 metres high and 5 metres wide, so it is hard to imagine how to build such a great wall without any modern machines, only by stones and bricks. Nowadays, the Great Wall is one of the wonders of the world and it is the admiration of the world. The landscape of the Great Wall is like a dragon, a legendary animal, as we all know, the Chinese are descendants of the Dragon, so it is meaningful to visit the Great Wall. From my perspective that my foreign friend will marvel at the unparalleled beauty of the Great Wall.
