Close observation opens up new worlds in many ways. It can tell us things we would otherwise never know. Most often, we see more when we look and listen. Fortunately, movies give us that option, but is requires diligence. Compare and contrast learning by doing to learning by reading.

Learning by doing or learning by reading? As we know, if we want to acquire knowledge, we should try to learn something by reading. But some people argue that reading can only provied us with indirect experience from others as well as some theoritical knowledge from the book. Knowledge obtained by reading won't help us handle the problems encounted in our studies or daily life. It is true that close observation do opens up new worlds im many ways, which can offer us many ways of acquiring knowledge, for example, we can look and listen by watching TV programs or moives, but all the knowledge we get from watching TV and moives are not direct experience that can really help us in reality. So, we can choose many options to acquire knowledge, but the most important is how can we put what we have learned by reading or observation into practice and to be the real knowledge and experience of ours. Therefore, we should try to turn what we have learned by reading or observaton into our direct experience and consolidate what we have acquired, the best way it to put the theory or knowledge into practice. As far as i am concerned, both learning by reading and learning by doing are important in the process of acquiring knowledge, learning by reading can help us acquire knowledge on books and learn lessons or experience from others, while learning by doing enables us to put what we have learned into pracitce and reality, change theoritical knowledge into real direct experience.
