As far as I am concerned, I think honesty is the most important characteristic for a person to be successful in life. Honesty is one of the most important characters that people should have in the society. Without honesty, it is extremely difficult for people to trust each other, let alone success. In the first place, any one of us was taught to be honesty from the childhood by our parents or teachers. Why should we have been teaching be honesty from our childhood? Because it is closely related to our personal grow-up and future development. So every one of us should learn and bear it in our mind from the beginning of education. Second, honesty is the prerequisite quality for a person to achieve success. For instance, a student should be honesty to his studies, then he or she can learn the real knowledge during schooling. If he or she do not honest to their studies, they just idle away and when exams come, they can do nothing but cheat in exams. So when they graduate from school, they know nothing and fulfill nothing. Last but not least, there is a saying goes like this: honesty is the gold, which means if one owns the personality of honesty, he or she is just like the value of the gold that can help her or him success in what he or she is doing. So, honesty is the essence for our career, if you want to accomplish something, the first thing you should own is to be honesty, and it will benefit you a lot in your life. A person with honesty is also an indication of a person is reliable and a person who can be trusted. So, honesty is a key element in our characteristics to be success.
