Everyone and everything have names,from human beings to companies.So what is a name?As far as I am concerned,a name is the identification to distinguish something or some one from others.It should be pronounced in a particular language. In terms of the importance of a name,people'opinion varies.Some think highly of a name,regarding it as a recognition and significance of its owner.Others stand in the other side,considering a name is nothing but a name.As for me, I go for the first opinion.I think a name plays an important role in recognizing and signifying. One of the most important function of a name is to recognize.We recognize and remember the people and thing we meet by names,during which our brains process a large quantity of message and clarify different message by names.Without names, the world would get into disorder. Moreover,signifying is another important function.We often distinguish ourselves and belongings by special names,which always represent the owners' characteristics,good wishes,values,social status,etc. Therefore,a name is of much importance whether you admit it or not,because no one can live without a name.
