Snap judgement is that someone usually makes the judgement about a person or an event in just few minutes or with several first thoughts. It is speedy to make judgement, but never be a high-quality, reliable approach. Of course, I agree with the viewpoint that snap judgement is something you should never trust at all. There are many reasons to explain why. Snap judgement is always made in a rush, mostly only based on several highlighted facts, so it leaves many hidden facts or less obvious facts unchecked. For a good decision or judgement, first step should be include as much as possible necessary elements related, this way the decision maker can do calculation on a right data base. There is campaign that, for instance, less private car should hit the road, as the car discharge has been blamed polluting the air, disorganized cars has jammed the traffic and affected the health of city and its dwellers. It is true the effect it has caused, yet its other aspect, that it is the necessary part of city life, people need car to work, the car industry need sales and petroleum company need gasoline or diesel consumption. If simply prohibiting the private car hit the road, it will cause a chain of unexpected implications that eventually disturb the city's development and citizen's welfare. But this has been totally ignored by the campaigner. So the campaign's snap judgement unworthy of trust. Moreover, some statements are so tricky that they seemingly be authentic, never a lie, yet in fact, they intentionally lead people to believe so. There are so many lies blending truth and false to misguide those less knowledgeable people. Noticeable, even a bit shocked truth are presented, and people are absorbed and show it enormous respect, and take it all no matter how unreasonable it actually be. For example, the infamous Chinese traditional medicine practitioner Zhang Wuben, who had so exaggeratedly promote the benefits of green bean for a while, in the aid of public media and beneficial effects it could have, and some tips for life, people worshiped him so much that believed eating as much green bean as you can, you would become very healthy and long-lived until some day a person followed the instruction and abandoned the normal balanced diet and finally got sick and died. Green bean really do good for human being, yet no better to take it in a large amount instead of regular food. People need balanced diet to achieve the goal. But before it, more deep consideration are needed to have a balanced and right view about an instruction from anyone or organization. Take information is easy, well, do judgement is an fastidious and demanding task. Tremendous facts, knowledge of relevant fields and robust logical thinking are all necessary elements involved. Thus to make a correct judgement need many thoughts into it, also much time. If without considering more comprehensively and rushing to the result, it is so readily to make mistakes. If you have seen the movie" twelve angry men", you would know how the logical think plays a significant role in decide a case, and also how severely the result would be if a judgement is wrong made. When people make decision, if lacking of logic, then bias will take place. Just like other juries who ignored the details in the evidence. They actually didn't do much mind work, and purely trusted in themselves and followed their intuition rather than facts and logic. Ultimately, as the detail was extracted and organized to form a smooth thinking process, all the fragments just didn't match which turned out to be misunderstanding and wrong. It is fortunate in the film that the kid was adjudged to be not guilty, while in reality there are so many similar cases yet with opposite results. Do judgement isn't an easy case as it appear to be, just to give a conclusion by one or two pieces of obvious information. It needs solid and complete facts and rational thinking, may be most important of all is the willing to make a right judgement. So before all ingredients are ready, taking time to prepare is a good choice. Making good judgement rather than a snap one can be good to oneself and also the society. It builds one's good reputation, constructs the foundation of democracy in politics and ultimately advances the civilization of society and mankind.
