From where I stand, technology sometimes admittedly turns out to be a mixed blessing, especially when it comes to overloaded information. However, that happens only when we fail to wield it wisely. It is by and large does wonders for the growth of human soceity rather than throttling it. Technology, having been rising with much fanfare, announced the inauguration of electronic era. the birth of first incandescent bulb cleaved through pitch-dark nightsky like a shining shooting star, then man found way to kill every frigid, lonely and sleepless night; the premiere of steam engine freed workers from all the drudgeries, and ushered a new chapter in mass production and industrialization; the successive debuts of satellite, rocket and manned spaceship not only enabled us to cast an eye on the panorama of boundless firmament, but also entrenched the pedestal of mankind as the dominator of the vast universe. After growing by leaps and bounds for centuries, technology now plays its role as nuts and bolts of modern society. The convenience following it makes house cleaning a light work. Being all the rage these years, cleaning robots save office workers, who contribute the bulk of their daytime hustling over office works, a deluge of troubles in cleaning. After finishing backbreaking works in office and jostling in subway for nearly an hour, no one would not be teetering on the edge of desperation to find a mess waiting at his to-do list. At such moments, a cleaning robot is the hero to liberate people from housework burden. Besides, modern technology is also a passport to communications beyond temporal and spatial boundaries. After flying the nest, newly-enrolled college students are more or less succumbed to homesick. Optical fiber, in tandem with cellphone camera, makes a nearly-face-to-face talk with families within easy reach. The thriving of technology also gives people more latitude in recreation. It adds a lengthening list of pastimes to people’s off-work time: playing chess with AI robots, racing car by VR devices, chatting with foreigners on social software... At a weekend filled with sunlit air, preceding electronic gadgets inject unalloyed joy into people’s leisure time. An undeniable facts is that it is getting harder to go anywhere without noticing the traces of modern technology, for it has blended into the strides of world. Thus, erasing the trail of technology in human society is tantamount to a blue-sky thinking which is out of the question and out of reason. As the aforementioned analysis indicates, technology stands the progress of human society in good stead, and to uproot it is absolutely nonsensical.
