Nowadays, people all over the world prefer to watch foreign films much more than the locally produced ones. Why is this the case? Should the government give financial support to the local film industry?
Nowadays it is a very undoubter phenomenon that the films made by foreigns countries are more popular than local ones. Meanwhile it causes a heated discussion about whether governmant should provide more capital to their own entertainment industry. From my point of view, it is quite desirable that government do their best to support development of their own cultural industry. First of all, the support to local film plays a prominent role in protection and development for local culture and tradditions. More specifically, every country has its own unique cultural traddition around the world. Whole world could become more versatile and vivid when every culture can be protected and respected in terms of financial investment. Further, local people could feel more confident and self-esteem when they find their film and music can be accepted by other races. In addition, there is a greatly obvious fact that can be seen easily in some countries is that entertainment may give dramatic incentive to economy by creating mor employment opportunities. Local people may take full advantage of the investment of government on culture to make more money so they may improve their quality of life. At the same time the government may recieve more revenue from the florouish of film and music. Therefore, cultural development may bring mavelous benefits to both local people and government. To sum up, not only are the governmental financial support to local film good at boosting their national confidence and identity, but also local people could better their life in the future.
