Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay. You should start your essay with a brief account of the impact of the internet on learning and then explain why education doesn't simply mean learning to obtain information. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.
the Impact of the Internet We are living in a era of information explosion because of advanced technology, which means we can search on the Internet for whatever we want. But while we get easy access to information to help learning, we may be too dependent on the computer to memory what we should memorize. That is to say, we are getting lazier and lazier. In addition, we never read in depth or think deeply after we surf on the Internet, which does harm to our learning process. Some people deem that with Google, we don't have to study. That is completely wrong because education is not the equivalent of learning to obtain information. Information isn't there until we discover them. We can obtain our own knowledge with the process of taking action. For example, before a spacecraft was made, no one knew the information of it. What we should do is to exert ourselves to put our knowledge into pratical use because that is the soul of education.
