Progress has been made in various aspects for 100years ,however,it is not certain that we are successful in making progress in all the areas. First,regarding economy,we have achieved enormous success,compared to the time when people often suffer starving and diseases. At present,hunger is not the major problem of human-kind, and countries where people live under the poverty line are decreasing.What's more, the life quality has been improved significantly. For example,in the 1960s,Chinese people lived in a time when there were not enough food offerred and everything including rice,meat and cloth was limited and could only be purchased by using the ticket which was not easy to get.Currently,we don't have such problems as the supply of food and cloth is aboudant.So we have made great economical progress. Second,in terms of medical areas,we have made a giant leap forward.100 years ago, the life expentancy of human was about 60 years but now people above 100 years are becoming more and more due the improvement in medical condition and technologies. Many deseases such as polio and smallpox are outbreaking rarely and we have a lot of measures to prevent them.
