Rencently,the issue whether dialects should accept in public placeis heatedly debates.Some people advise dialects are just as acceptable in public places,while other disagree.Personally,I think though dialects are definately characteristic,it still unsuitable to use in public places. Admittedly,those characteristic language ,for people from different places,may,to some extent,benefit in feeling familar,possessing pride and making them more chances to entertain themselves.However,in reality,if you are in a unfamilar place and speak the dialect that nobody know.Native people may laugh you and you may be upset. In comparison,when you speak a fluently Putonghua ,almost everyone can understand what you says.In addition to,it is more formal. To sum up,it is best for us to speak formal language.
