In my opinion, I partly in favor of this idea, because it is the very way that how you use these high-tech products determines the subsequent consequent instead of the equipment itself. The capability of reading and writing could be cultivated and promoted better via these advanced tools for the self-disciplined youngster. Because there are enormous alternative reading materials available in the internet, so the reading need of different age groups could be met better, and reading would be more convenient for the young readers due to the handy mobile phones and computer, so they would find reading attracting and read more, enhancing their reading skills. On the other hand, compared to paper writing, software and websites of writing with self-correct function could discover mistakes in the essays, heightening the proficiency and writing level of young people. However, admittedly, undesirable influences on these capabilities are possible if these items are put into error use. Because there are massive temptation online, young people are prone to be attracted by them, and then fail to concentrate on their reading or writing tasks. Take the online games for an example, the pupils may not be mature enough to persuade themselves not being indulged to the games, as a result of this, they would lessen time and energy spending on reading and writing, then the abilities would deteriorate fast. In conclusion, smart phones and computer themselves would not always cause harmful effects on the writing and reading ability for the young generation, the probable impacts depend on the method we use them.
