Water Shortage in the China Without water, people will die, the world will have no flowers, no trees, no crops and no animals. The earth which lack of vitality equals to a dead city. Therefore water is so important to us, but what cause the situation of water shortage? I believe mainly on account of people themselves. For natural aspect, water is not evenly distributed. Although three quarters of the world is covered by water, only 1% is frensh water. Moreover, for China which is a country with a huge population base, the demand for water is even greater. What's more, rainfall is affected by the season. In summer, rainfall is concentrated, which is easy to cause drought and flooding; in winter, rainfall is scarce and water supply insufficient. In a word, the supply of water is finite. For social aspect, human behavior is the main cause of water shortage. On the one hand, wehether in agriculture or industry, the demand for water is increasing day by day. Human beings pursue the better-tasting on the basis of adequate food. Meanwhile, industry pursues higher quality supplies to improve the living standard of human life on the basis of santisfying human life. All of these need much water. On the other hand, the conciouseness of human beings to save and protect water is too wake. Many rivers and lakes have beem polluted due to human's behaviors. People don't realize that the days of cheap and abundant water are drawing to an end. One reason is that water is too cheap, only about three to five yuan for a cubic meter. All in all, if human beings do not realize the importance of water shortage and continue use it without conciouseness, one day, people will lead themselves to death.
