Nowadays appearance actually plays an important part in daily communication, but we shall never judge a person from his appearance. This can be explained from two angles. For one thing, we are born with different appearances. We can change and decide our looks so it is superficial to just judge a person by his appearance. We should focus on the inner ability which can be cultivated through the long process. The personality of people matters most in our daily communication. For another, appearance changes as the time goes by. If you are attracted by one’s appearance at the first time, it is natural for you to get bored in the long run. What lasts through your life is the personality, knowledge you have acquired. Above all, appearance shouldn’t be the criterion for judgment. And with the rapidly changing society, we should devote our life to the pursuit of truth and enhancing ourselves. This can be the only judgment in life.
