the table indicates the life expectancy is ascending from 1960 to 1990. on the contrary, the infant mortality is shrinking in the mean time. there are three possible reasons for the different changes between life expectancy and infant mortality. first, average people's daily diet is dramatically improved in decades. for example, in the year of 1960, people have little choice for food except rice or flour-made food, but they nowadays have a large number of food for choice such as fruits, meats and snacks like chocolates, which provide more necessary elements and nutrition for our body and human life expectancy prolonged this way. secondly, development of modern medical technologies make contribution to the eve-rising life expectancy and decline of infant mortality.
