The case library of material mechanics with three elements of knowledge points, scenarios and problems is constructed, which integrates case resources including teacher development, graduate recommendation and student selection. The teaching design based on the case library aims at ability training, focuses on the cultivation of the ability for the students to find, analyze and solve the problems, and emphasis of practical consciousness and safety awareness as the two wings. Based on the differences in professional backgrounds and specific disciplinaries, we use the Internet technology to actively carry out the teaching method of “mechanics on the fingertips” by the means of pre-class selection, in-class interactive discussions and off-class communication. Through the above measures implementation, the sharing of online and offline resource, the teacher-student interaction in and outside the class, and the deep integration of problem analysis and solving are effectively promoted, and the mutual promotion of teaching and learning is also realized.
