As far as I am concerned, being smart consumers is more involved in buying with discretion rather than buying at lower prices. Fist, purchasing cheaper articles is not truly smart and sometimes it is unwise. Naturally, people love cheaper goods. That is why people enjoy collecting coupons and using them as much as possible. However, there are many cases that people buy as soon as they grasp low-priced objects. As a result, they spend more money but get less necessary stuff, which is not wise. The proper way is buying with discretion. When people buy an object, they should figure out why they need, how much they need and whether it is useful. By thinking over, they can save money and space. Price is also considered. A cheaper object is not entirely a good one. An expensive object but with higher quality is more favorable than a cheap but easily damaged one. At last, people’s buying should be based on their purchasing capacity. Buying articles that they can not afford will cause financial crisis to them. To conclude this subject, if people want to be smart consumers, they should learn to consider and balance. Consideration makes perfect.
