This winter holiday, I flied to Italy with my parents for relaxing. When we went abroad, Wuhan had not been quarantined and there was no news report about that. In my impression, it was just a regional flu. When I heard of the outbreak , at first, I'm glad that we have escaped the pneumonia. However, on January 30, Italy confirmed two Wuhan tourists in Rome, and a Hong Kong couple suspected the COVID-19. WHO declared it as a public health emergency of international concern. On January 31, Italy declared a state of emergency and grounded flights to and from China on the same day. More and more local media reported the novel coronavirus, they called it “China Virus”，and many public places didn’t allow people from China to access due to outbreak. Besides, we also were worried about that visas will be expired. We decided to return to China as soon as possible under the circumstances. Luckily, Aeroflot and Emirates can fly to China still. We bought the tickets to fly to Uae on February 3rd and to Beijing from Uae on February 6th. The most correct choice I thought was we bought the tickets from Uae to Beijing. Emirates claimed all flights to and from China, except those to Beijing, would be suspended from February 5. On February 6, our flight took off as scheduled. The plane was full of Chinese, and when it landed in Beijing, there was a little cheer. All people were happy we finally returned home.
