It is believed that the year of 2020 is the most special year since the 21st century. This year, we have witnessed a world that is changing dramatically. Britain formally left the European Union on January 31. For the first time, the ever-expanding European Union is divided. The United States officially announced that it would withdraw from the WHO next year in July. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe officially announced his resignation on August 28. The situation in Europe and the pattern of the world are undergoing subtle changes. This year, we have witnessed the most violent racial movement in decades in the West. The killing of a black man, Floyd, on his knees by police sparked the largest wave of anti-racism and anti-violence law enforcement in the United States in decades. Almost every city, people are angry protests. Many shops and even police stations were set ablaze. This year, we have witnessed an unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak. This is one of the most significant events of 2020. As a Chinese, I have probably had the most unforgettable Spring Festival in my life. We witnessed the closure of Wuhan and the soldiers in white began to gather urgently in Wuhan from New Year's Eve. We thought it might be difficult to get through, but more than two months later, by a miracle, China turned the tide. While the epidemic situation in China is under control, the epidemic situation abroad is becoming more and more serious. The virus has no national boundaries and this is a global disaster. To date, more than 1 million people have died worldwide from COVID-19. It's so restless and heavy. Just a few months, we saw the enrichment of one hundred years of history, and we are a part of it. For many ordinary people, the special thing about 2020 is not that we have witnessed history, but that we are in it. Everyone is a witness and participant.
