From our results, we believed that FvZFP1 was multifunctional. When plants are subjected to biotic stress, FvZFP1 can appropriately increase the ROS level of plants, activate the SA pathway, induce the production of resistant proteins, and enhance the ability of plants to resist biotic stress. When plants were subjected to abiotic stress, such as high salt stress or drought stress, the accumulation of ROS in plants was excessive. FvZFP1 increased SOD activity and MDA content in plants to counter excessive accumulation of ROS, and meanwhile enhanced ABA accumulation, expressed stress-resistant genes, and alleviated the damage caused by abiotic stress on plants.
