I have different ideas on how to be a smart consumer. The best way, in my opinion, is to constrain my temptation when facing any advertising. I usually ask the question myself: Is this really valuable to have the products or services by spending money? In China, the economic resource or support of most students are from their parents. My money for a living currently is provided by my mother who works hard all day. Any money spent on entertainment is not necessary and not helpful to realize my main aim: to achieve top scores or a master's degree. And getting a lower price by collecting coupons or by group-buy deals can not save the money, and also waste the precious time which should have been invested more on learning for young persons. So in all, for students, being a good learner is far better than being a smart consumer. Time is more precious than money. it's a second thought to be a smart consumer when we get independent and make a living by ourselves.
