Deep learning is increasingly favored by the academic community. Deep learning is a kind of learning method that can mobilize learners to critically understand and think about learning content and meaningfully integrate new and old experiences, so that they can actively and flexibly use knowledge and solve problems in various complex and real situations. In the context of the implementation of the new curriculum standards, the goal of junior high school English is not only to cultivate students' basic listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities, but also to realize the flexible conversion between reading and writing. In the teaching of reading and writing courses, we should take the core quality of the subject as the guide, combine independent learning and cooperative learning to promote the perception and understanding of the reading text, and then design multi-angle writing training such as structural imitation of the text, plot rewriting, and ending continuation to promote the use and transfer of language knowledge, grasp the essentials of the deep thinking training of reading with writing and reading with writing, so as to promote students' deep learning. This means that in the teaching of English reading and writing, teachers should combine reading and writing organically with the concept of deep learning, and complete the effective output of writing on the basis of improving students' understanding of the text, so as to improve students' comprehensive application ability of reading and writing and promote students' deep learning of English. In addition, students should also have good English reading and writing skills, and be able to adapt to the reading and writing requirements of various topics.
