In accordance with what is detailedly demonstrated in the above bar chart,we can observe distinctly that some significant changes have taken place in terms of the causes of fire and the losses.The fire caused by smokers fell last year nevertheless,the losses increased.The fires caused by defective insulation went up nonetheless,the losses reduced.Meanwhile,the fire caused by children playing with matches kept the same,but the losses rose. It is of no difficulty for us to put forward some factors to account for the phenomenon. In the first place,the general public have been aware of the seriousness of fire and begun to care more about the matter.Therefore,compared with the year before last,the number of fires caused by smokers last year was fewer and by children playing with matches was almost the same,while by defective insulation was more.In the second place,the government has not implemented the laws strictly and the punishment has not been severe enough.Thus,the fire loss of last year was higher than that of the year before last on the whole even though the number of fires reduced. To the best of my understanding,we should take some positive and powerful actions to prevent the trend from getting worse.On the other hand,the government should improve the degree of implementing laws and punish severely those who break the laws.On the other hand,the general public should raise their consciousness and take precautions against fire.
