According to the instance, different people have different opinion about it. Some people say that this doing is to provide a better service which others support to promote Mandarin. From my point of view, I agree more with the latter. First, Mandarin is a major language in China that every citizen should use it fluently in public place. From the age of liberation till now, our central government is promoting the Mandarin used in public place. It stands a glorious of a nation. If every citizen says different dialects, our nation can not be union and not to mention development of any aspect. Second, Mandarin promoting will lead to conbinent communication. In the example that the employees are busy in learning dialects. I think it isn't an effective way, because learning a language is not an easy job. The unacceptable solution will increase the work load of the employees and result in a bad aftermath. So learning Mandarin is an effective and easy way for every citizen to do. It also convinent for communicating when everybody uses a same language. Third, using Mandarin doesn't mean giving up dialects. Dialects are full of local cultural characteristics which go through a long history. We promote Mandarin, in the meantime, we should maintain and protect dialect, because it i the fruits of our ancestors and common wealth of our whole nation. All in all, Mandarin is a common language for people to communicate in public and keeping protect the dialects.
