“How fresh the air is”, when we go to countryside to see my grandparents, my parents often praise the environment of the countryside like this. It’s true that the countryside has cleaner water, clearer fresh, less noise and less crowed people, can’t we draw the conclusion that living in rural area is superior to living in city? Obviously, it depends on a case-by-case analysis. For the elderly, they prefer to live in countryside for the sake of their health. As we all known, due to lack of factory established in the countryside and less cars, the environment in the countryside is generally better than the city’s, which is definitely beneficial to the people’s health. According to a recent survey, the life expectancy of people living in countryside is 1.2 times than the city’s and the old enjoy a better health. In this sense, it is hard to overstate the advantage of living in rural area. However, for other people, living in city is still the priority. For example, the children, who need to receive education, only living in city, can enjoy the excellent educational resource; the adults, who face the pressure to make money to earn a living, even for raising all family, can the countryside generate enough opportunities for them to gain a satisfied job? Of course not; the middle-age, clearly, they have to look after their children, and coping with the working pressure in order to make their family live better in material, which lead them must to live in the city. In summary, the author hastily draws the conclusion that living in a rural area is better than living around a lot of people. In my opinion, the elderly live in the countryside and the other people live in city is the best choice.
