As is known to all, a successful hotel should include several basically elements like a superior location, first-class service and exactly market orientation and so on. With a survey conducted by my team, we argued that as a well-known promising tourist city Dubai is the best city which our company can set a new hotel there. The advantages of the city are following. Firstly Dubai, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, has emerged as a global city and a business hub. Although the economy of Dubai was built on the oil industry, the emirate’s model of business drives its economy, with the effect that its main revenues are now from tourism, real estate, and financial services. Secondly Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and its luxury consumption. What’ more the Palm Island left deep impression to visitors is an artificial island in Dubai, on which there are lots of commercial and residential structures such as entertainment centers and villas. However, with a special desert climate, the city has a very hot arid summer. It is waste of time to accommodate to the climate there especially those managers from east of China. In addition the style and decoration of new hotel should similar to Arab culture. Put another way, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Finally an increasing number of top-notch hotels have intended to set their branches in the city. The fierce competitions will happen in the near future. Thus what we should do is to keep remembering the old saying-Reputation First, Customers Foremost.
