Excessive packaging has become a common phenomenon nowadays.It is particularly prevalent in gift packaging during festivals,such as moon-cakes.Excessive packaging not only causes waste of resources but also leads to environmental pollution. Besides,it can hurt consumers' benefits because consumers will have to pay more money for the unnecessary packaging. Many reasons account for this problem. To begin with,many a producer attaches great importance to packaging for the sole purpose of luring consumers to buy their products,paying little attention to the actual quality. Moreover,driver by the high profits of over-packaged goods,produces may try excessive packaging.Last but not least,people have demands for product image,which gives rise to producers' enthusiasm for excessive packaging because consumers normally choose whatever catches their eyes first. Personally,I oppose the practice of excessive packaging.First,produces should give priority to product quality and advocate moderate packaging.Second,it is advisable that consumers take quality more seriously when buying products.Only by the joint efforts of producers and consumers can this problem be solved.
